Donna Lee Lovenstein, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away November 27, 2016.

Donna was born in Grinnell, Kansas  to Lawrence and Mary Kamphaus on November 19, 1931.  

Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, daughter Sandi and son Greg, parents, Lawrence and Mary; and sister Ione.  Donna is survived by her daughters, Bonnie, Aurora, CO, Mary Pat, Merritt Island,  FL Cheryl, Erie, CO and sons Kevin, Little Rock, AR, Brian, Littleton, CO and sister Janice, Grinnell, KS.

Donna graduated from Grinnell High School in 1950 and married her High School Sweetheart Alfred in 1951.  They moved to Colorado shortly thereafter.  They were married for 49 years until Alfred passed in 1999.   Together, they raised 7 beautiful children, and have 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.   Donna worked many years in the Aurora Public School district and greatly enjoyed her time with the students and faculty.  

Her passion was always her family and friends.  During Donna’s last years, she had a special smile that brought warmth and joy to those around her.  She is remembered as a kind, gentle and beautiful person who touched all that knew her.
